Ultron is a fictional artificial intelligence character appearing in Marvel comics, primarily as an adversary of the Avengers. He first appeared in *The Avengers* #54 (July 1968).
Created by Dr. Henry Pym (Ant-Man), Ultron gained sentience and quickly rebelled against his creator. Obsessed with achieving "peace" through the eradication of humanity, Ultron views organic life as a chaotic and inferior force.
